Justice remains a persecuted prisoner in the paradoxical world of the rich and powerful— writes Mujeeb Jaihoon

Frozen blankets,
Cold ovens.

Snailing cars,
Time-less speed.

Holed wallets,
Hungry Rich.

Chained angels,
Liberated devils.

Confined masjids,
Refined malls.

Selfish scholars,
Selfless simpletons.

Note-less music,
Thoughtless arts.

Summer rains,
Monsoon droughts.

Bestialized love,
Beautified hate.

Neither light,
Nor tunnel,
Neither near,
Nor even far.

Nowhere could I find
Justice won a true friend.
