January 26, 2018: India’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, being presented with SLOGANS OF THE SAGE, a coffee table book compiled by Mujeeb Jaihoon, which contains the philosophical aphorisms of late statesman and philanthropist, Sayyid Muhammad Ali Shihab Thangal. Both leaders shared a common vision in the secular and pluralistic traditions of India.

Inbasekar IAS, deputy collector of Trivandrum District (Kerala) was presented with the book, Slogans of the Sage, Mujeeb Jaihoon’s collection of aphorisms by Sayyid Muhammad Ali Shihab – at Nilgiri College of Arts & Science, in the presence of Professor Nithyanantham, syndicate member of Bharathiar University, Rashid Gazzali, prominent trainer and Executive Director of Sign Institute of Social Leadership , Dr. M Dorai, college principal, and other Trustees of the college. K. Inbasekar, the son of a tea estate worker from Padacheri in Pandalur taluk, The Nilgiris, is an inspiring icon for those pursuing academic excellence. He had earlier served as scientist in the Indian Agricultural Research Institute.

PK Abu Bakr, who hails from Calicut, India, is a renowned infrastructure specialist who has designed, executed and commissioned number of major construction works under buildings for Education, Medical and Industrial sectors and also Roads and Bridges Sector. He has also served as expert to UNDP, Bangladesh.
He is also father of Dr. Babu Shersad, prominent nephrologist, who recently passed away in late November 2017 at Dubai. Also seen in photo is Ahmed Rayes, son of late parliamentarian and former Indian minister of state for external affairs, E. Ahamed, Dr Fauzia Shersad, E. Ahmed’s daughter, was married to Dr. Babu. She is the institutional effectiveness director at Dubai Medical College
