The Vice Chancellor of Darul Huda Islamic University, Dr. Bahauddeen Muhammed Nadwi, has left for England to attend the annual conference of the London-based Kerala Muslim Cultural and Welfare Association. Prominent officials and politicians in UK and Indian High Commission officials are expected to participate in the meet set to begin on Oct 10.
Mr Nadwi, who was earlier given the ‘Al Mahabba’ award from Kuwait for his contributions in religious education and the JAIHOON.TV Excellence Award for propagation of Arabic language in Kerala, would also visit the Cambridge and Oxford Universities.
In the two-week tour, he would also meet with Yusuf Islam in north London. Nadwi had earlier represented India in world Islamic scholars conferences held in Libyan capital city of Tripoli, under the leadership of Colonel Muammar Al Gaddafi, and Cairo.
Other guests from India for the annual London conference include Minister of State E Ahmed, EMKE Group Managing Director MA Yousuf Ali and Gulfar Mohammed Ali.
