Ibrahim Mohammed Mir, a resident of Khorfakkan, (a province of Sharjah close to Fujairah, UAE) has been a regular visitor to the Kottakkal Vaidya Shala for the past 18 years. He had met with the accident that severely injured his spine. In the initial years after the accident, he underwent treatment in London, which produced no significant results.

He started a driving school to support his family. The Keralite students told him about the Vaidya Shala at Kottakkal. Since then he visits Kerala annually, accompanied by his son, and remains in treatment for a month. He brings with him the some emirates foodstuff with him while coming. But most of it is made locally.

On Kerala

Ibrahim spoke in high terms of the cool air in Kerala and its affectionate people. “Dr. P.K. is an affectionate and caring physician,” he said. He admits that in the traditional medical system there is no quick treatment with immediate results, but in the long run, the Ayurvedic treatment is much preferable.
