Syed Basheer Ali’s visit to Sharjah
Born in 1971, Syed Basheer Ali Shihab, received his primary education in local school in Panakkad. He was admitted to Farooq college, but later got admission in Aligarh Muslim university for BA commerce stream. After completing his bachelors in commerce, he joined for Law in Trivandrum, the capital city. But his interest shifted back to commerce and so pursued his MBA from a university in Pune.
His younger brother, Syed Munawwar Ali is studying in Malaysia for his graduation. Presently he is residing with his father, Syed Muhammad Ali Shihab.
Syed Basheer Ali Shihab was not much active in politics during student life, but in the recent times has stepped into public life. He enjoys driving across the countryside, takes part in meetings and functions.
About spending time with his father, Basheer Ali says that a few minutes in the early mornings during breakfast or when he is in a break with the visitors is the possible time. True to the legacy of his ancestors, the Mahatma of Malabar has dedicated his time and energy to console and condole the community, sharing their joy and sorrow without showing a sign of fatigue.
Basheer Ali has also traveled to Malaysia, Singapore, Oman, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia for performing Hajj and UAE. However, his best choice was UAE. He applauded the hardworking expatriate Keralite community although the recent trend has been little unfavorable for them.
This descendant of Panakkad maintains an optimistic perspective regarding the advent of IT in Kerala. However, he is cautious about its role in the infrastructure of the state.
“A new trend is seen in Kerala where industrial parks are paving the way for a growth of IT. As a forerunner to such initiatives, awareness programs like seminars and classes are being held by different organizations and by sites like this. The different government offices at panchayat, municipal and state levels should pursue IT based administration to find solutions in Kerala. Several multinationals from Malaysia, US, Ireland and NRIs from around the globe are investing in Kerala with a growth-oriented vision. It will help eradicate unemployment problem of Kerala. Students will have access to the latest developments around the globe.
I am glad that Jaihoon.com is serving value-based content- news and views- to the people around the world, especially to Keralites. It has rejuvenated an interest for the bygone era of the community, bringing to life the forgotten, but memorable, personalities and places.”

Syed Basheer Ali was also shown the Al Qasba area, a lagoon in Sharjah, an amazing place of architectural charm shaped by the vision of the Cultural Architect of Arabia- Dr. Sheikh Sultan, the Ruler of Sharjah.
