by Jaihoon
Ever since from my prized Dream did I awake
I beg Lord that you from me He does not away take
There is a learned one from Hind whom I dearly hold
Who covered me in Right Mantle from the confusing cold
He was loved alike by the young and old
His words would the help the Ummah mould
Honors and titles from East and West came in his search
Although his heart would on these worldly glitter never perch
For all my thoughts and words is he my gate
He is the blessed tree whose fruits I blindly ate
Ah! Jaihoon really is much unfortunate
That to sit in that company was not his fate
Now what can I do to convey my love
To the Hindi sage in whom did Hijazi blood flow
He departed on the last odd days of Ramadan
A month in which from hell is on believers a ban
O dear comrade!
With Him, you have
More than me
A bigger grade!
May I make for my scholar a simple plea
That you mention him in your sincere dua.
