Depression : Hunting for the spirit in the body!

I have read many articles on the stress, depression, workaholic etc problems suffered in the western part of the planet. In west, appetite is more of an alarming issue unlike hunger in the east.

Stress management has become a specialized field in management and other humanities. But I see the problem with a slightly different perspective. The basic issue is treatment is given for the fruits when the disease has affected the roots. They fail to identify the disease in the heart, and try curing the heart.

Let Allama Iqbal’s cutting edge verses explain the phenomenon:

“The westerners have lost the vision of heaven,
They go hunting for the pure spirit in the body.
The pure soul takes not color and scent from the body.
Equality lies at the heart
Not in water and clay!
