“കേവലം ഭക്തന്മാര്ക്ക് ഈ അനുഭൂതി ഉണ്ടാകാം. ചിന്തകന്മാര്ക്കും ഉണ്ടാകാം. പ്രകടന സമര്ത്ഥരായ ആളുകള്ക്ക് അനുഭൂതി ഉണ്ടാകുമ്പോള് അവര് അതിനൊരു ആവിഷ്കരണം നല്കാനായി ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു. അത് എളുപ്പമല്ലെന്ന് അവര്ക്കറിയാം. എങ്കിലും എങ്ങനെയെങ്കിലും ആവിഷ്കരിച്ചേ തീരൂ. അത്ര മഹത്താണ് ആ അനുഭവം. ഒടുവില് ഒരു വിധത്തില് അവര് ആവിഷ്കരിക്കുന്നു.”

‘ജയ്ഹൂണ്’ തുര്ക്കിസ്ഥാനിന്റെ മണ്ണിലും മനസ്സിലും ലാവണ്യാനുഭവമായ നദീ പ്രവാഹം. നിളയുടെ സംസ്കാരതടത്തില് പിറന്ന് ഷാര്ജയില് പ്രവാസജീവിതം നയിക്കുന്ന ഒരെഴുത്തുകാരന് ഇത് തന്റെ തൂലികാനാമമാക്കി. 26-ആം വയസ്സില് ആംഗലേയ സാഹിത്യപ്രപഞ്ചത്തിലെ സജീവസാന്നിദ്ധ്യമായിക്കഴിഞ്ഞ എടപ്പാള് വെങ്ങിനിക്കര മുജീബ് റഹ്മാന് ആണ് ‘ജയ്ഹൂണ്’ എന്ന പേരില് സര്ഗരചന നടത്തുന്നത്. പ്രതിഭയുടെ ലാവണ്യധാരയായ രണ്ടു കാവ്യസമാഹാരങ്ങളും ഈയിടെ പുറത്തിറങ്ങിയ ‘ദി കൂള് ബ്രീസ് ഫ്രം ഹിന്ദ്’ഉം ജയ്ഹൂണീന്റെ ഇടമുറപ്പിച്ചു.

പ്രവാസം വേരുകള് നഷ്ടപ്പെടുന്നവന്റെ വിലാപമാണ്. ഭൂതകാലത്തിന്റെ സ്മൃതി പ്രവാഹങ്ങളില് സ്വന്തം മന്നിനെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള വിചാരങ്ങള് അവന്റെ മനസ്സില് എപ്പോഴും വേലിയേറ്റങ്ങളുണ്ടാക്കുന്നു. കണ്ണിയറ്റു പോയ ബന്ധങ്ങളുടെ വേദന അവനെ അസ്വസ്ഥമാക്കുന്നു. സുഖശീതളമായ ജീവിതസമൃദ്ധിയും പ്രവാസിയുടെ നെഞ്ചിനുള്ളില് ഒരു കിളി കരയുന്നു. ആ കരച്ചിലുകള് ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുന്ന സര്ഗധനരായ വ്യക്തികള് സഹജേവികള്ക്കു കൂടെ അത് കൈമാറുന്നു. വിവര സാങ്കേതിക വിദ്യയുടെ വികാസം അതിശയിപ്പിക്കുന്ന പുതിയ കാലത്ത് നാമുടെ വിചാരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് ഓര്മ്മയുടെ മഴത്തുള്ളികളായി പെയ്തുനിറയുകയാണ് ഷാര്ജയിലെ മൊയ്തുണ്ണി ഹാജിയുടെ പുത്രന് മുജീബ് റഹ്മാന്. ഇന്റര്നെറ്റില് മുജീബ് രൂപ കല്പ്പന ചെയ്ത ‘എന്റെ പ്രിയനാട്’ (മേരാവഥന്) ഈ-ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി ആയിരങ്ങളെ ആകര്ഷിക്കുകയാണ്.

ആധ്യാത്മിക സൂഫി പാരമ്പര്യവും ഉന്നതമായ സാംസ്കാരിക വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നിലവാരവും ഉണ്ടായിട്ടു കൂടി കേരള മുസ്ലിംകളെ വേണ്ടവിധം വായിഛെടുക്കുവാന് ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മറ്റിതര പ്രദേശങ്ങളിലെ മുസ്ലിംകള്ക്കായിട്ടില്ലെന്നും ഇതിന്റെ പ്രധാന കാരണം ഉര്ദു ഭാഷയുടെ അഭാവം മൂലം നടക്കാതെ പോയ സാംസ്കാരിക വിനിമയമാണെന്നും ഹൈദരാബാദ് ഇഖ്ബാല് അക്കാദമി ചെയര്മാനുമായ മുഹമ്മദ് സഹീറുദ്ദീന് ഖാന് അഭിപ്രായപ്പെട്ടു.
