E-box vs. Idiot Box : Who’s the winner?
The Net has changed the way we perceive the sensations around us. Thanks to the philosophy of ‘rich getting richer and poor getting poorer’, the majority of mankind is still offline to this new form of connectivity.
Palestine: What approach next ?
What is it with the world? Why are they blind to the innocent children massacred on the streets of Palestine? When will the neighbors in the region understand that what the Palestine people need is NOT millions in ‘developmental’ funds but a visionary leadership and the necessary tools for a ‘civilized one-on -one combat’. How can the struggle with stones be equated with tanks and missiles?
Mother Rediscovered
Thanks to the media, the commercial giants have spent heavily on defining motherhood through their products. Biscuits, stationeries, soft drinks, online gift vendors have all rediscovered a sudden fondness for the entity called ‘Mother’. Business as usual.
The curtain has risen, its time to act!
Media is very important for the development of the Ummah. For it is the command of Islam to “verify the truth when someone brings you a news”. The “lie incident” which forms an integral part of ’sura Nur’ throws enough light on the importance of the ‘right information’ at the ‘right time’.
We need the Spirituality to resist Imperialism
Imperialism and consumerism are enemies of humanity. It is the duty of a writer to protest against them. It is in the interest of humanity to voice support for those who are hunted unjustly. Humanity has become cheap in the eyes of those who see everything in a material way. Woman has become the best commodity of sale. I wish to share the message of Divine Love in place of the love expressed for purely selfish ends. Love is no love at all, if for God is not a role.
Islam and Woman
The East today is simmering with a furor over the- rights of woman and a demand in her behalf for perfect equality with man. The most noteworthy among the feverous champions of women’s rights are those men and women who in the name of Islam rave most foolishly, some mischievously alleging that Islam has in all respects maintained perfect equality between the sexes, while others, thanks to their ignorance of Islam or negligence thereof, claim that Islam is an enemy of woman, for it degrades her and lowers her status holding her intellectually deficient and assigning her a position very much akin to that of animals. She is reduced to no more than a mere means of sensual gratification for man and a machine for the propagation of the human species which is sufficient to show how subservient to man she is in the sight of Islam with the result that man dominates her and enjoys an all-round superiority over her.

The Effects of Television on Children
* Extensive violence viewing precedes some long run manifestation of aggressive behaviour.
* Television programme contain excessive amount of violence and children can remember and learn from such programmes.
* There is a clear evidence that exposure to violent television programmes produce greater subsequent aggression than one would find without television.
* Television leads a person to be indifferent to violence in real life.
* Not only does television change the short term behaviour and beliefs but also the long term.
Knowing the real enemy is half the battle
