The governments of all countries should formulate cyber laws to check the moral decay of society which has resulted from uncontrolled access to information, said an Indian parliamentarian.

“Uncontrolled access to information, which will lead to disaster, is one of the gravest dangers challenging mankind today”, said Abdus Samad Samadani, renowned scholar, orator and a member of the Rajya Sabha (upper house of Indian Parliament) representing the Indian Union Muslim League.

“We cannot ignore , which has become the of the present age, but the ethical essence is being kept away by the sweeping changes happening in this field”.

He said unlimited scientific progress which was not controlled by an ethical is the reason behind the state of affairs the world has come to as far as information is concerned. “The young generation the world over is enjoying uncontrolled access to many things, which will lead to a society that has no essence at all”, he said.

Quoting the example of recent scientific researches and tests where a pig’s heart was transplanted in a human being, Samadani said respect for the human heart was not taken consideration in these tests.

“We have to learn to utilize the technology of the day for mankind’s positive growth. Holy Prophet has said that the best knowledge is the knowledge of the present condition.” said Samadani.

He pointed out that the information technology is being used for different purposes, such as enmity and hatred, and international accords should be formulated to check hacking of websites. “We had a thorough discussion on this subject and as a whole in the recent session of Indian parliament.” said Samadani.
