Outside the Jvari Monastery

– Jaihoon

Why go away,
My indifferent friend
Never I am to you
Of hardly any offend.

I shall consent
With your argument

That,

Unlike you
I am guilty

Unlike you,
I’ve no much piety

O the one fearing ar-Rahman!
You’re soon to be given Jannathaan!

Yet,

Why go away,
My indifferent friend
Never I am to you
Of hardly any offend.

What have I done?
That from me you shun.

Like you,
I am a human
Cast out of heaven.

Like you,
I too am eager
And wanting to endear
The nearness of Al Qaadir

Like you,
I too keep
A lot of love
For His Habeeb

Why go away,
My indifferent friend
Never I am to you
Of hardly any offend.

When around me you are near
To approach me, the devil will fear

O the Friend of Khaleel!
O the Lord of Jibreel!

Reach this plaint to that cruel friend-
Who for no reason brought me much offend,
Giving me no chance to defend,
Although no fault from me did I find
