The reign of Love steals our experience of reality leaving only occasional dreams to quench our thirst for real life- poetizes Mujeeb Jaihoon

Someone has hoisted a flag bright,
Colors pleasing to the sight,
Within the vicinity
Of my little heart.

The heart trembled with fear,
When this calm storm
Changed many a landscapes
Within my dominion.

A new Queendom has formed:
My kingdom conquered.

And what can I say more?
What else is in store?

This and that
Written here and there,
To decipher them
Is very hard for sure.

The orchestra, so fabulous:
Instruments play in silence.

Her reign has stolen
My experience of reality.
Only my occasional dreams
Quench my thirst for reality.

In spite of her rude reign,
Her smile brings to life
The harvest of paddy fields
In the midst of the sand dunes.

She implants in my thought-veins
A tsunami of poetic inspirations.

Like a meteorite, she fills
My heart full of energy.

Like a needle that knits
Many a broken hearts.
Like a physician who scripts
The cure for unbearable pains.
She sets in order every mess
As a mother arranges
Her nursery child
In the morning hours.

‘Tis a wonder not
Of the glittering world,
Nor of the Accursed Iblis;
But from the Most Loving, Al Wadood.
